Elastics

Baron Bretelle uses textile waste as a raw material resource, diverting it from landfill and incineration. We become less dependent on virgin materials, we don’t use water or chemicals and we reduce our CO2 emissions and energy usage.

Our elastics meet The Global Recycled Standard (GRS). An international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of Recycled Content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions. Our goal is to increase use of recycled materials in products and reduce/eliminate the harm caused by its production.

Leather

Baron Bretelle sources the leather from the "Vegetable Tanned Italian Leather Consortium" . This label guarantees that the leather has undergone a tanning process with vegetable extracts (chestnut, quebracho, mimosa to name the main ones) in compliance with the most ancient artisan traditions. This process, together with the quality of the raw material, gives the finished leathers an unmistakable aspect of naturalness and fullness of thickness.

Baron Bretelle develops low-impact and high-value upcycled yarns for our suspenders. A vibrant journey towards a circular fashion system.
